Anyone stayed in one of these? Wondering your thoughts, impressions? Are these rooms close to the lobby, or located elsewhere? Thanks!

very small. great for 2 adults or 2 adults and a smaller child. not much room for more than that IMO...

a great deal points-wise, though.

Very small, furniture on every inch of wall space. Perfect for one, cosy for two, and utter madness for more than that. To get into the armchairs at the table, the room has to be rearranged. If someone is sitting at the table, it's virtually impossible to get to the balcony door. If the sofa bed is open, there is basically a pathway to walk and that's it. We put the coffee tables stacked in front of the "adjoining" door. Hanging storage is an amoire with a rod in half of it. Yes, the points values are low, and that is exactly what they are worth, in my view.

On the plus side, unlike OKW studios, there is a bit of kitchen storage space.

I see where the moderates are 314 sq. ft. The value studios are 316 sq.ft. We stayed at Caribbean Beach last summer with 3 1/2 people. The beds were too small, but otherwise, it was fine. I think we'll be OK. Thanks for your help.

we stayed in two last fall - 2 adults and 1 3 yo in one and 3 adults in the other. We had no problems - storage space was hard to find, BUT we were only staying for 3 nights before a week long cruise so we had lots of extra stuff and we didn't want to unpack. Still, we managed just fine. Size of an average hotel room IMO.

Hi jimmiej! I've stayed at the AKV in a value studio several times (always solo, so the size wasn't a problem). Love them! On one trip, I split my trip, all at AKV-Jambo among a standard, value, and savannah, just so that I could compare them and decide. Since then, I've been back to a value for 4 nights, with 6 more nights planned/reserved. Best bang for the point.

You do have to consider how the sq footage is used. I believe the Jambo value room still has the normal DVC sized kitchenette and bathroom, (essentially the first 12' of the room is bathrooms wih 6' vanity and kitchenette, then the rest is bed/couch) but with ~3 less feet in the bed/couch area, so the bed area in a value room may be less than a moderate...

and while i think they do leave out one piece of furniture in the value studios, the rest of the furniture was designed to go in a 365 sq ft room.

but different people have different levels of expectations for elbow room...let us know how it goes...

We've stayed in these a handful of times, mostly on weekends for 1-2 nights to save pts. We have 2 children under 5 and it's been fine and very practical to save pts. We're not in our room too often so the space hasn't been an issue. The possibility of getting a savannah view is also a plus.

I've been wondering this too,are the dvc studio values smaller than a dvc regular studio at AKV? I can't find layouts or pictures anywhere- Now I love the size of a studio at OKW,I'm guessing these are smaller?

We stayed in an AKV value studio last summer and while it was small it was fine for us. It was DH, myself, and two kids (2 and 4 yo then), plus the stroller and suitcases. The pull out sofa bed was out the entire time which did make getting to the patio door a challenge, but it was kept shut the majority of the time.

Ours was located on the ground floor with a direct view of the valet services/temp check in parking area. Essentially right behind where the vehicles can temp. park. We used our points for a value so we didn't anticipate having a view of any sort.

316 sq. ft. VS. 364 sq. ft. IIRC.

Here's a picture of our value room at AKV from this past summer. It was plenty big for DH and I. We also had a savanah view.

Thanks for the pictures JenSop. I'd be thrilled with that view, but it's not real important.
