AKV Studio Concierge Questions

We are planning our trip for next year and we'll book at our 11 month window... which happens to be when we are at AKV, we leave next week!

Staying Concierge in a Studio from Jan. 3 - 13, 2010.
1. Can you still only book 7 days at a time?
2. How many Concierge Studios are there... do I need to be worried that I won't get one?
3. If you can only book 7 nights at a time... then I call and book on Feb. 3 for Jan 3 - 10... then what day do I call to book the remaining 3 nights? Do I day by day book or what?

As you can see, I'm totally confused. We day by day booked this vacation (Jan 27 - Feb 11 /09), which is also our first trip home, so I haven't used the new system yet.

1. You can book up to 7 nights if you call right at 11/7 months based on the check-in date.

2. There are only 5 two bedroom concierge villas. They are lockoffs, so at a max there are 5 studios and 5 one bedroom villas.

Do I then call Feb 6 and add Jan 10 - 12 (checking out on the 13th)?


Or...
3. We wait until Feb 6 and call to book the entire stay of Jan 3 - 13, 2010?


If there are only 5 studios, what is the best way of booking to ensure that we get a concierge studio for our entire trip? I do not want to do a split stay or end up switching rooms.

I would probably go with your option 1. It's really hard to say how fast they will book up once the 11 month window opens.

We are doing concierge this September but it's only for 3 nights so I could book it all at once.

Definitely option 1. There are at most 5 concierge studios, but maybe only 3 or 4 depending on whether any 2BR villas are being booked for the same time period. There are more AKV members joining DVC every day so the competition for those 3-5 concierge studios gets more difficult as the number of owners increases.

1. What time do I start calling in Orlando... in other words, what time is DVC open in Orlando time?

2. Do I just call the regular number or is there a different number to call when *at* AKV?

3. Can I dial 800 numbers out of my villa to call member services?
