Looking for suggestions does Jambo house or Kidani have better Savannah view rooms? Does time of year for the visit make a difference?

Differet people may have different answers. From my experience Jambo has it way over Kidani for animals. I've stayed on the same savannah that both resorts use, too, the Sunset Savannah. But at Kidani, I was on the pool side, not the Jambo side. We hardly got any animals there. And I didn't see any giraffes until the last day. At Jambo I saw giraffes regularly. As far as time of year, I've been at Jambo in January, May, September, October, and November and found no difference in the # of animals.

We've stayed both and have had animals at both resorts. Sunset Savannah is our usual request. One thing to keep in mind is that the animals are in their 'barns' in the morning, so the best time to see animals is in the afternoon or evening.

I think it is a toss up and it comes down to luck of the room as some rooms in both locations have more animal viewing than others.

Stayed at both several times, and had feast and famine at both where animal viewing is concerned. Once we were on the end of Zebra trail at Jambo and had great animal view even though we also had a great view of the ugly "people pen". The downside there was the LOOOOOOng walk to the bus, lobby, and parking. At Kidani we prefer the Sunset savanna view, and have found that lately they are better at placing browse all over the area to better attract the animals to all rooms. The advantage I think Kidani has over Jambo is that you can request a lower floor and get much better viewing of animals away from t he tree tops. At Jambo you are always on 5th or 6th and the trees can often be in the way.
