My family and I are going to stay at AKV (2 bedroom) the first full week of December. Will Kidani Village be open then or will be still be in Jambo? Can you request Kidani if its open?

The original time frame given for the opening of the first phase of Kidani Village was "early 2009". That information has since been removed from the public DVC website. There are rumors that construction is ahead of schedule and that the first phase might open in late 2008 but there has been no announcement. The latest information on the members' website says that Kidani Village is "scheduled to open in phases through mid-2009".

If they do announce that the first phase will be open in time for your trip then I expect you will be able to book it rather than just request it.
