AKV resales going for equal to or more than Disney retail?

In perusing resales I have noticed that AKV is going for equal to or more than (with discount) sales direct from Disney, why is that?

The contracts that I have seen that have been for more than Disney is selling has been for small contracts.

Up until very recently, you could only purchase 160 or more points from Disney. A week or so ago Disney announced that they would sell 100 point contracts.

50 point contracts sell for a premium because that is the only way that small point owners can get into the system.
