Ok after reading all AKV threads I could find, and talking with my guide , I have one final question .

I know Kindani opens at least 2009 . The converted Lodge rooms open Sept 1 , 2007 . I can buy right now , less than 100 points , at $101.00 a point . Dues are $4.62 ( or near there ) . Owners may book May 16 and non owners June 6 2007.
I have a Dec U/Y so I will start out with Dec 2007 points.

My question is in regards to Dues. If I bought next week , would I owe from then and pay right away? Would I owe for then and pay when it opens? Would I owe for when it opens and pay then?

Your dues would start Dec 1st so you would pay one month's worth of dues for 2007. My understanding is that you don't have to pay until the start of your UY, though the amount will show up online prior to that time.

ETA: Just to be precise here, you will owe 31 days worth of dues for 2007.

I understand the dues are not due until September 1. I have a use year of March, and that is when I was told I would begin paying dues. As far as you owning December use year, I believe the previous post was accurate. You don't actually have anything due until December, when you can begin booking.

I just got my letter today that my deed was recorded. I have a Dec UY, but my loan payment begins on May 15. Annual dues will not be due until Jan 15, 2008, and since we are a Dec UY, will only have one month to pay at that point.

I presume you're saying you pay your dues monthly and not annually. However I think for January you'll be paying two months worth of dues, to cover Dec 2007 and Jan 2008, unless you're paying Dec 2007 dues some other way.

We just added on at AKV and have a June UY. We were told our 07 points would become available in Sept and the maintenance is due at that time.

I suspect our '08 AKV dues would be due in Jan. (Wow, 2 AKV dues payments 4 months apart... )

yes, we pay monthly, but what I was trying to say was that we'd have one month (Dec) plus all of 2008 due on the Jan 08 bill. I clearly need a nap. Or a DVC vacation...
