AKV question: Where are the Red River Hogs?

Are they at Pembe Savanna, waiting for it to open? Are they on display at Jambo somewhere?

We'd love to see them before our stay moves over to BLT tomorrow.

They're supposed to be on the Pembe Savanna. On the Sunset Safari we saw them at a distance beyond fencing. They're named after characters from the old Drew Carey show.

Thanks! Where would we go to try to see them beyond the fencing?

Yes, they are currently in pens at the AKV barns until the new savanna opens. You can get a great view of them on the Wanyama safari!

I believe it would be the Kudu Trail wing that you want to walk down and hopefully find viewing area that comes close to the barns.

We were in room 5346 last week and the hogs were outside our balcony. Hopefully you can look at the map and sort out where that would be - I can't remember the name of the trail. It was FAAARRRR down the hallway, I can tell you that!

My first thought was...Duroc hogs on the farm.

We got a peek at Pembe Savanna from the 5th Floor, but no Red River Hogs. Oh well, we'll see them next trip. Thanks for the tips, all.
