I'm looking for some information about the 1 BR Value room. Is it smaller than the standard 1 BR? What view do you get from them? Are they at Jambo, Kidani, or Both? Our next trip will likely only be 4 of us, and it's looking like a studio might not work for us. If our oldest decided to come with us would we have to get a different room or does the 1 BR Value accommodate 5 (all over 3)?

It is smaller - 3 feet shorter in length, I think.
Views can be savanna, pool, or parking lot. It is luck of the draw - they do not allow you to choose the view, and the points are the same regardless.
Jambo only.
Because the Value villas are smaller, there is not a sleeper chair so they do not sleep 5 adults.

IIRC, there are less than a dozen value 1BRs (fewer than that if some are booked as part of 2BR lockoffs), so you'd need to plan in advance and understand that you would not have flexibility to accommodate 5...

Not only do they not sleep five adults, they don't sleep five people aged three or older. You can't fit in a family of five unless the youngest is under the age of three. They are really strict on this one.

No three kids all over the age three I do not think will work in a value. Where would they sleep?

if they can all sleep on one sofa bed? Or one in the bed with you? A standard one bedroom is better suited for a family of five.

For a family of four it is perfect, you won't even notice the missing space. The view is whatever they give you but for the point savings it's worth it. Really it comes down to how many people you have to sleep. If you had three kids, and one was a baby I would say ok, but three grown kids, I wouldn't recommend it.

Is the kitchen/bathroom layout the same as other 1 bra

Having stayed at the 1 bedroom value several times I can state that the kitchen layout is the same. As another stated the main difference is the length of the unit. Because of this there is not room for the sleeper chair, and the bathroom will not have the separate tub and shower in the master bath like the ones in Kidani have. In addition the Kidani 1 bedroom standard units actually have two full bathrooms.
