AKV Minimum purchase?

Hi Y'all,

I have been gone from these boards for a couple of years (occasionally "lurking"), but I'm happy to be back!
I am staying at BWV in early June, and intend to do the AKV tour. It looks fabulous! Since I already own 250 points, I just want the minimum contract. What would that be? What is the incentive, and price per point, that you have been quoted?
Sorry if this is redundant, but it's important to me, and I didn;t see the answers on the boards.

I think 25 points is the minimum for current owners.

25 Points, really? That is exciting! I had heard it was minimum 50. Maybe they won't finance 25, but I'd just put it on my Disney Visa. I heard there was some incentive to do that, as well! Look what happens when you don't keep up with all the "Pros"!

The minimum add-on is 25 points. If you want to finance thru DVC, the minimum is 50 points. To take advantage of the $8 per point promotional discount, the minimum purchase is 100.

Price for 25-99 pts is $101 for current members.
Price for 100+ is $93 for current members.

Just be aware that your 11-month booking window is limited to the number of points you own at a resort. If you add-on 25 AKV points, you will have 25 points each year to book at 11 months. Reservations using other resort points cannot be made until 7 months out.

Thanks for the info, guys. I would probably just bank/use/borrow at 11 months, or try my luck at 7. I just have an AWFUL case of "add-on-itis"!

The only cure I know is to add on. We added on at AKV when it was first available to members. We added a small 69 point contract so we can utilize banking and borrowing to our best advantage. This gives us a Savanna view 1 bedroom every third year.

Dues for AKV runs $4.62 per point. This is somewhat high for a new offering, but those animals need to be taken care of.

Thanks for the info. I wonder what the dues will be once they fill the other, much larger, Savannah around the second building? Man, you AKV owners will have to buy a lot of Zebra food!!!

I anticipate the AKV fees being in line with the other resorts on property once all is said an done. Maybe a little more than SSR and a little less than BCV, BWV & VWL.
