AKV Kidani Village Construction Still Going on in August?

I understand that the grand opening of the Kidani Village and Sanaa is scheduled to be May 1st. However, I was wondering if there will still be construction after that.

Essentially, will the pool, waterpark area, recreational facilities etc be still in construction by August?

THe DVC agent, who took my mid-September reservation, told me that construction will still be going on during our stay, but the facilities(pool, etc.) will be done. Hope this helps.

Phase 1 opens May 1st. Phase 2 is scheduled to open in September so there will be some construction still going on though it may be just interior work. Phase 2 is part of the north "horn" of the building, starting at the pool area.

I was told the same thing when I booked my August trip.

I guess I was just wondering if anyone knew if the waterpark area would be open during our trip or is this one of those things that are completed last?

I have no idea. Disney has not released any information about exactly what will be open on May 1st other than the fact they are taking reservations for Sanaa as of that date. The only information I've seen has been reported by people who spoke with an MS CM. I imagine Disney is planning to have a fully operational pool area by May 1st but they are apparently not willing to put that in writing as of yet.

Thanks. That's what I thought. I wasn't getting any specifics when I asked MS. I suppose they have not been told either.

Hopefully, people who are staying in May will report what is operational and what isn't.

Sanaa is the restaurant.

I have seen that the new Pembe savanna will not be opening until September. I don't think that means savanna view will have a view of a construction area necessarily. The Sunset Savanna should have reopened by May.
