AKV Kidani Room

Going to Kidani in Dec and need to request the room location for the best views of the animals. Any suggestions?

Prototypical request is near lobby, low floor.

Near lobby because they usually do a good job feeding animals near the lobby so they like to hang out there.
Low floor because you are closer to animals.

Ask to be close to the Rafiki elevator - Then you will be close to the pool, the lobby and on the savannah.

If you want to avoid long walks, have a good view of the Sunset savanna which has giraffes, and be close to restaurant, bus stop, pool, community halll and store, request close to lobby. I would not request close to Rafiki elevator because it is near where the Pembe savanna begins which has no giraffes and you could possibly get it rather than Sunset with a close to Rafiki elevator request.

I would simply request Sunset Savanna. We have found the feed the animals all over the savanna, so you can see them everywhere.

I just posted a review of AKV. My advice...request a room close to the lobby.

I requested Sunset savannah last time and wish I would have got a lower floor. We were in the last section, by the Zazu elevators, closest to Jambo house and we actually ended up really liking it. We were only a quick walk to Jambo House, which was convenient to Boma and the Mara.

I had read A LOT on here about the long hallways, but they truly didn't bother us. We visited the pool a lot and used the bus service. We did so much walking in our eight night stay, that those hallways were just a small percentage of it.

We LOVED our stay at Kidani. The only thing I would have changed is being on a lower floor to see the animals a bit better.
