Last week we had a room facing east and the morning sun was bright!!
the rooms on the "inside" face west and are the even numbered rooms. We had a savanna view of the smaller savanna and to be truthful, I was really disappointed when we go to our villa after checking in. I wanted giraffe's And I do not, as a rule, complain about views. Then I realized that someone had to love the nyala, waterbuck, and red river hogs for the week and it was going to be us.
And i know this is OT, but we were almost at the very north end of the wing. it was a really long walk!! But my theory on that was I could eat as many Mickey bars as I wanted because I was going to walk them off getting to the room.

Our room, an odd numbered room at the north end of the wing faced the Pembe (?) savanna which was east - so sunrise. But the villas on the other side of the hall (even numbered) faced the sunset savanna -

If you are in the central part of either the north wing or the south wing, then the Savanna View rooms are all facing EAST, towards the Sunset Savanna, so all those rooms are good for sunrises.
It gets complicated if you are in the far northern or far southern (closer to Jambo House) portions of the resort.
