AKV Kidani Room Location Request Suggestions

I'm sure there's a 100 questions that all ask the same thing but I really hate the search function so please ignore that fact. We finally got our SSR reservation switched to Kidani so we currently have 2 days AKV in a standard view studio and 6 days in AKV standard view one bedroom. Anyone have any suggestions for room requests? My mom has had double knee replacements so ideally we don't want to have to walk too far from anywhere - the bus stop, the main lobby, or parking. Is there any room series with partial savannah views? This will be our first vacation as DVC owners (we have well over 20 visits prior to buying in) but have never stayed at AKL or AKV.

Request a room close to the lobby - it can be a looooong walk if your room is out in the Kidani boondocks (my wife measured te distance from our room to the lobby during our recent stay - 1/4 mile ...)

There are some standard rooms with a partial view of Pembe savanna but all of those leave you with some walk to the lobby, bus stop, store and restaurant. If avoiding long walks and being near those amenities is important, you need to request close to lobby, close to community hall, or close to bus stop (result for any of those requests is about the same). If you want to put up with being some distance from those amenities but potentially having a partial Pembe savanna view, request close to the Rafiki elevator. Don't request room with partial savanna view because besides the ones near Rafiki elevator (for which the walk to lobby is itself some distance), there are also a small number of standards with a view of Pembe at the end of the north wing of the building which would give you an extremely long walk to the lobby. As to parking, it is under the building, runs the length of the building, and there are elevators along the wings that take you from parking lot to room floors, with the result that you can usually get a parking space fairly close to your room no matter where you are.
