Me again, here's the continuation of our trip....

Monday, November 9th. Got up early and hung out on the balcony watching the animals. Had all 5 of the giraffe eating at the same post.

We got ourselves ready and headed out the door for our 10:30 a.m. massages at GF Spa. This was THE best massage I have ever had in my life! It was the Aurum Manus massage. I went for the 80 minute treatment and it was sheer heaven. My cousins also had what they said were wonderful treatments. The Spa itself leaves much to be desired. It is very small, with only one "station" to apply makeup and one blow dryer. Only two showers. Two of the three light bulbs in the bathroom were out, locker room very small. The fresh fruit was just a small bowl of oranges and the waiting area was very small. I've been in a few spa's and this one needs lots of updating. I chose this spa over SSR spa for two reasons, one was the treatment we chose (the Aurum Manus), and the other is because we were headed into the Garden View room for tea. After using the spa for awhile, we headed over to the lobby and enjoyed the tea VERY much. We figured it would be a light kind of lunch, since we had Yachtsman Steakhouse planned for dinner. But wow! considering they are little tea sandwiches, and scones and pastries, we were very satisfied! All the food was delicious, and the service good. The teas, delicious! And we aren't even reallly tea drinkers, but we were all really happy with our choices.

After the tea we had some time to go back to the room and hang out. We we hard pressed to leave our room because it's such an awesome thing to hang out on the balcony with the giraffe, zebra, ankole cattle, and all the animals. The crown cranes had something to say and were "talking' to each other. Pretty cool!

We changed and headed out to dinner for a 7:45 ADR at Yachtsman. What is there to say other than, delicious!!

Day Three: Tuesday, November 10th!

I left the daytime open, no plans (by this time my cousins were calling me "Julie" from the Love Boat with all the planning I had done:lmao:). My cousins chose to go to Animal Kingdom Park, which kind of took me by surprise. I didn't think they'd be at all interested in park touring. Everybody wants to go to Disney!
So, we took the bus over and had a great great day! We started with It's Tough To Be A Bug. I've, of course, done this tons of times, but none of them have and they loved it! We saw Flik on the way out and I went berserk, gotta have those character pictures!

Then we headed over to Flights of Wonder and Kilimanjaro Safari's:

Then the Pangani Forest Trail, etc.:

We also did the Marharajeh Trek and had lunch at Tusker House. We saw the "vine lady" :

And hung out by the monkey house:

We were too full from lunch to do Expedition Everest and only one of my three cousins is into rides, so we skipped it.

We headed back to our room after walking all day, and again, hung out with the animals on the balcony.

We saw the 6 pm show of Cirque Du Soleil. One cousin doesn't like these types of shows, but I think she enjoyed some of it. My other two cousins LOVED IT, as did I (I've seen it a few times). I'm so glad we got to go, it was very enjoyable. It was raining when we came out, but we had tickets to MVMCP and we decided to tough it out and go over anyway. We got there about 8:30 pm. There was a really long line for people waiting to be refunded. The first parade was cancelled, and I think we would have missed some of it anyway. We went to the haunted mansion, did that, and caught the special fireworks show, which was awesome. We waited for the stage show, and they wound up cancelling that because the stage was slippery and the actors didn't want to take the chance of falling during the performance....bummer. We got in Mickey's Philharmonic, which is always awesome and got some hot cocoa. Then we watched the parade which we thought was really great. We did some shopping and by that time it was midnight, we headed out. I personally am very glad I saw it snow on main street and got to see what this event was about, but I'd never do it again. It's alot of money to be in just as crowded a park as any daytime (and that crowd was way less than what it would have been had it not rained!), and just to see the fireworks and a holiday parade. Yes, the rides were open, but having the opportunity to go to the parks on multiple visits per year, paying for a ticketed event and doing the rides, just doesn't make sense to me, that's just MHO, I do understand people really love this MVMCP. But my cousins, WOW, they LOVED IT! It had stopped raining just after we arrived and they were really really into being there for this event, so it made the experience so great.

Headed back to the room and hung out til about 2 pm talking and watching the giraffe laying just outside the room!

Day Four, Wednesday. This was our going home day. We woke early and again hung out on the balcony watching the animals. Saying goodbye! I didn't want to leave! None of us did! We checked out of the villas and headed over to DTD for some shopping and lunch at Wolfgang Pucks Express, which was delicious. Then we headed to the airport for our trip home.

I'm so glad I took the opportunity to bring my cousins with me to my very favorite place, and I'm happier that they really loved being here with me!

That's it! Thanks for reading.

We are going to be staying in Kidani in a Savannah view room in December. Giraffes are my favorite and it looks like you saw many. What room/section of Kidani were you in? I would love to try and request that area. Thank you :)

Sunset Savannah, near the lobby. It was a great location for us!

Thanks for the pics and trip reports. Looks like you made a couple of converts out of your cousins. We loved Kidani too!
