AKV-Kidani food service issues?

Same here. We rarely eat CS, so not having one at Kidani will have no impact on us.

Until the family that is forced to bring their over-tired children to the TS restaurant because here is no CS option gets seated next to you... Anticipating a nice quiet meal at the TS restaurant? Good luck!

The reason AKL and BW have such access to food is just like the value resorts and the food courts. They cater to people who book rooms not villa's (w/ full kitchens) as mentioned by Diane. That's all that's available to them.

Personally, that's exactly why I stay away from the lodges and the value resorts, too many people, TOO MUCH LIKE A HOTEL. Though I do understand that others might prefer it. IMO, OKW has enough to accomodate our food needs as we do use the kitchen for breakfasts, lunch and dinner. We just have a few ADR's each trip to try new things and keep it interesting. If my intention was to stick to hotel type accomodations I would never have purchased DCV.
One of the reasons I bought DVC is the best of both worlds.....hotel ammenties and "home" ammenites. I personally don't want to cook on vacation. I love my DVC kitchen for Bkfst and snacks....or heating up leftovers. I also like lots of options....I might not use it....but like knowing it is there.
Yeah, except most SSR units have their own kitchens, and, have you seen Artist's Palette at lunch, It is a mad house! This must mean that alot of people like to have their lunches prepared for them. Seems to me Disney is missing out on the chance to make more $$.
Yes.....AP is very well utilized.....I personally enjoyed that CS very much. We definately do pool days and having a place to grab a quick bite is priceless...IMO.

I think Kidani will put something in.....I mean come on....I don't think anyone woudl be against having another place to grab a bite to eat.

Personally, I prefer a TS meal over CS, )

I agree with that comment, but then I NEVER eat fast food our CS ANYWHERE, so no need for me to have one at a resort. I'm happy making my own breakfast and even a light lunch or supper if need be on vacation. We generally only eat one meal out a day at WDW, and that is always a TS and often occurs midday. That is unless we are doing the signatures that are only open evenings.
