Is there an room, building or area I should request from Member Services? Thanks!

I usually recommend "lower floor, close to the lobby." Do you want to be on the pool side? If so, I'd request that as well.

I would request second floor/close to lobby that way you are super close to community hall, the buses, the lobby, johari treasures, etc.

Just a word of warning~they give your first request top priority, so list them in order of preference. I requested close to lobby, 3rd floor or above. I wanted to avoid 2nd floor so there wouldn't be too much foot traffic going past our room, and since it wasn't a savannah view, I didn't have to worry about being down close to the animals. They ended up putting us in a handicap accessible room because it was the closest one they had to the lobby (and it wasn't close at all!). We managed to get moved to a non-handicap accessible room after a couple of hours of convincing them why the room wasn't going to work for us, but by then it was 1am and it really got our trip off to a bad start.

The handicap room doesn't have the island in the kitchen, so there is only seating for 4 people to eat. There were 6 of us and I had over $100 of groceries delivered and waiting for us when we arrived, so it should have been obvious to them that we were going to be cooking and eating in the room a lot. From now on, my first request will be "non handicap accessibe". I'm sure someone traveling with a scooter would have appreciated the extra room since I saw many scoooters being stored in the hallway overnight, but it just didn't fit our needs.

I requested as close as possible to the pool. We got a great pool view and were fortunate enough to have a view of the savannah! It was a bit of a walk to the lobby, but we watched the animals the whole way. Many people have said that they hate the long walk, but our family enjoyed it. Come to think of it, it did always take us a while to get to the lobby, because the kids would make us stop at every window to see the animals. And there are many windows.
