AKV-Jambo, WDW Marathon or F&W?

I've finally convinced DH to try a value 1 BR at AKV-Jambo. Which of the above times do you think might be better? For the F&W festival we've always stayed at BCV, and we're concerned that since we're used to the ease of the Epcot location, we might be not be happy there then. But for the marathon, we're concerned about the transportation to the starting line that early in the morning. And of course part of our dilema might be when a value 1 BR is available. So which would you recommend?

I couldn't bear to give up the EPCOT resort location for F&W, so my pick would be the Marathon weekend.

If early transportation to the starting line the day of the marathon is your main concern, why not consider a cab? That assumes Disney doesn't provide a bus for the runners from every resort. I think they do, but I am not a runner.

For marathon there are busses from AKV that start very early and get you to starting point on time. At BCV the issue is the same for marathon since you have to take a bus in the morning to get there because you cannot walk through EPCOT which is closed at that time in the morning.

As to chances of actually getting a value at AKV 7 months out for either of those times of year, you should assume they are very low although 1BRs are usually the last to go giving you some hope.
