AKV-Jambo studio vs BCV studio-first impressions

First, initially my BCV studio isn't any more "run down" than AKV-Jambo. There were some serious gouges down to bare wood in some furniture there, just as there is here. Maybe it seemed more obvious there because the wood is darker. At AKV, I had a full, 12 cup coffee maker but no freezer in my mini-fridge. Here I have a little 4 upper, but I've got a freezer unit with ice trays. I'm big on having ice in my soda, and not having to go to the ice machine is a big deal to me. And after about 2 1/2 hours here, my ice cubes are crusty on top. Speaking of soda, BCV Marketplace had bottles of caffeine free diet coke-Yay! When I asked in the gift shop at AKL, the CM looked at me like I was trying to pull a prank and she was not pleased-"Cafeine free Coke? I've never HEARD of such a thing!" But my balcony is much smaller here and no giraffes! Oh, and as I posted elsewhere, there's a pack and play in the closet here, but nowhere in my studio at AKV. Tomorrow-let the F&W festival begin!

Have fun! You are doing exactly what I just finished a week ago, but in a one bedroom. I feel the same way, not run down at all, BCV was beautiful. I usually love AKL but just couldn't get oriented in that one BR there for some reason. I couldn't wait to get to the BC!! Ah, Stormalong Bay is my 2nd home....

In the spring, I'll be with my friends at BCV, then with my DH at Jambo. I am with you, Jillpie, SAB is my second home....I just love it, but Jambo with its exotic beauty and animals speaks to me as well!
