We are thinking of staying at Jambo House, does anyone have pics of a 1bdr villa? We stayed at Kidani last month and are curious how much difference is the room layout. Thanks.

There is only 1 bathroom in Jambo and 2 in Kidani. I didn't realize this until recently. I booked a 1 bedroom in Jambo and didn't realize this because the virtual tour on the website show Kidani rooms. Now we are stuck with 5 people and 1 bathroom.

Here is a floor plan for a Jambo House 2BR lockoff. As mentioned already, there is only one bathroom in the 1BR portion. The master bath is located across a little hallway from the master bedroom so you cannot move between the bedroom and bathroom in privacy. (The washer/dryer is located in a small closet at the end of that little hallway.) Due to space constraints when converting AKL rooms into AKV villas there is a combined whirlpool tub and shower rather than a separate shower stall. There is no closet in the master bathroom. There is an armoire in the master bedroom for hanging up your clothes. The kitchen is laid out differently (L-shaped instead of U-shaped). It's not shown in the drawing but most of the kitchens have a rectangular work table running parallel to the long counter. The living area is not as wide as in the Kidani 1BRs. Due to the washer/dryer being in it's own closet, the entryway closet has more available storage space than the one in Kidani.

ETA: In this plan the connecting door between the studio and 1BR is in the entryway. There are many rooms where the connecting door is on the other side of the kitchen closet in the 1BR and studio kitchenette, directly across from the little hallway separating the master bedroom and bathroom.

I will say that we like the Kidani layout MUCH better for one reason. The bathroom has a dedicated shower vs. the Jambo bathroom has a tub/shower combined and the tub has a pretty big edge to climb over. The shower at Kidani is very good sized and for that reason, we would rather stay at Kidani even though we like the rest of Jambo better. The rest of the room layout feels similar.

These are pictures from a 1BR located on the concierge level. They layout should be the same as most other 1BR's at Jambo.

Living Room and Kitchen. Doorway to left goes back to bathroom and master bedroom. Also, the room doesn't normally have the brown lounge chair.

The one's to the left in the kitchen and to the right of the dining table? That's a nice, big closet. :thumbsup2 And in this room just past it by the entry door is the connector door to the lock off studio. As you enter the room from outside it would be immediately to the right.
