AKV in summer heat - animals less active?

Currently we are planning a late June/early July stay at AKV next summer (2012.) But I'm wondering: Are the animals less active during the summer heat? Should we consider saving an AKV stay for a more temperate time of year when the animals might be more active?

I've found the animals to be pretty much the same summer, winter, spring or fall! They come out to eat, so I don't think it matters about the heat! The rest of the time they lay about!
