AKV, here we come. June 1-8 11/15.. Finally BACK!

YAY!! Love the update!

I swear you take the best pictures!! I love the rose garden! Its one of my favorites!!

Hi Heather! Aww, they are my favorite. Thank you! I could take pictures all day in the garden.

Great updates Lynn, I love the Pics of the Castle especially the top one with the statue. :goodvibes

I'm starving now after looking at the bakery pics. :lmao:

Thanks!! I wish they had a main st bakery in my town. lol.

I love TTA too! It's a nice break during the day. Last time I went on it though, SM was being redone so all the lights were on and there were walls up everywhere. It'll be cool to go again since it's up and running now. Great pictures!

That's cool. Were you able to see any of the rehab being done? I guess not if the walls were up, lol.

Another great update! You two seriously take the best photos. Your camera is amazing!

I also like the TTA. There's just something about it. I love being able to escape the crowds...and the best part? there's never a line!

It seems like you had great crowd levels! I hope that continued throughout your week :)
Thanks!

That is the best part about it. We did have great crowd levels the whole time. I was really happy about it.

Great update!!!!! Your pictures are gorgeous as usual and the rose garden ones are really breathtaking! I love TTA too, I could just ride around and around for hours!!! The spiel has changed though, hasn't it? I read here on the boards that there's no more "Paging Mr. Morrow, Mr. Tom Morrow. Your party from Saturn has arrived. Please give them a ring." That was our favorite part!!!

Thank you! I don't remember the old spiel. I read on the theme parks forum that the paging Mr. Tom Morrow is back. I don't remember hearing it though this past trip.

Lynnie-I caught up on Day1 , now I have to read Day 2.. Will do it tonight:surfweb:!!!! I have to call you later

Hey gf!

We went on Pirates last Wednesday and the wait was 30 minutes. The line was outside of the "tunnel" if that makes sense, into the courtyard. I've never seen the line out that far before.

Sounds like I'm going to have to add a new lens to my Christmas list.

Hi Glenn! That's how it was on the 8th. It was crazy, lol. It is a great lens! You should get it.

OH my gosh!! You take the most amazing pictures!!! Do you remember how much those glass slippers were? I am just a little obsessed  I heart chocolate muffins too

Hey! Thanks. No, I do not. Sorry, but I never looked at the price.

I caught up on all of your updates! I really hope I'm as efficient as you are with updating my trip report. lol I actually started it today (without pictures, I'm going to add them tomorrow or Thursday). You should read it & compare the crowd levels & wait-times from when you were there a week earlier! :)

I was sad that we didn't get to see Chip & Dale at all during our trip. The lines for them were just always waaay too long. It was nice to see them in your trip report! And I agree with Tim...I am not a fan of the new Tomorrowland outfit!

Love your pictures of the rose garden! Did you ever take photography courses or did you just learn from experience? (Just curious because I am looking into taking some classes this spring!) I'm not sure I even saw the rose garden on our trip...I'm sure it was hidden behind a thousand people!

I agree with you...the TTA is a very relaxing ride & a great place to get photos!

I will be honest. I was one of the people completing freaking out about ToonTown...yes, a 27 year old freaking out because Toontown was disappearing forever. I was really upset about it & stressed about how many people would probably be in the houses & I wouldn't get good pictures blah blah blah! I made it a point to tell my DH that we would go into the houses multiple times throughout our trip! Guess what? I LOVE the new ideas for the Fantasyland expansion! After seeing those huge murals & reading the descriptions, I am soooo excited to see it!!! I am still a little disappointed because I do enjoy Toontown & I really wanted my son to be able to remember being there (he's 2 right now so he won't remember our trip this year or last year). But after being at MK and seeing those murals on the construction walls, I am really really excited to see all of the new attractions! Fantasyland will be AMAZING!!! :cheer2:

Great Photopass pictures! I really liked all of them.

I am sooo hungry now that I saw your pictures from the bakery! I usually stop there every trip but this time, it was so humid that we decided for ice cream instead. It was really neat too because my son dropped his ice cream on the ground & within about 3 seconds, 2 ladies came over (while I was cleaning it up with a napkin) and said "Don't worry about it, we'll get it" and one of them put a napkin overtop of it & the other swept it up into her broom! It was funny to watch. I looked over to my DH and said "If this was back home, that mess would be in the middle of the street for weeks!"

Can't wait to read more of your trip report!!!

Hi! Welcome to my TR, lol! I will have to check out yours. I really think the expansion will be amazing! I cannot wait to see it all. Aww, your poor son. Oh, and I agree, it would still be on the floor, lol!

You take such great pictures!

Astro Orbiter is horrible. I freak out on that ride which is why I refuse to go on it anymore. :lmao:

Yumm MSB! I really want a chocolate muffin now ;)
Hey! Thanks! OMG, it is horrible, lol. It made me feel sick when I went on it, and I never get sick from the rides. Same thing with Star Tours. It's awful. They are the best muffins.

That street cleaner is soo cool I've haven't seen that since I was a kid. Look's like you had a great!! Can't wait to read more Lynnie!

Aren't they cool! I am updating now!

Me too! :rotfl:

We got into the habit of anytime my dad drove like a maniac screaming, "It's Mr. Toad's Wild Ride!" We are still doing it!

Beautiful, beautiful pictures from the rose garden! My favorite one is the one with the rose in focus in the foreground and the castle in the background!

Okay, I am drooling from those bakery pictures! Yum! Yum! Yum!

I think we may need to try Cosmic Ray's on this trip -- I want one of those BLT wraps!

Did I call it a BLT wrap? I am sorry, it is a turkey club wrap, lol! It is really good. I love that pic too!!

Fabulous update-- totally with you on Astro Orbiters. I have zero desire to set foot on that ride.
I think the HM is one of the best rides to be on during a breakdown-- there's so much to look at!
I love the sepia picture of you and Tim looking at each other-- it came out really cute!

I don't even like how you have to get to the ride. It's kind of lame, lol. I love when the HM breaks down!

Thanks!

I love the bow in your hair. The guy looking over Tim's shoulder made me laugh. Space Mountain makes my head hurt too. I always take some Ibuprofen before riding cause I thought I was the only one it happened to. I will miss Toontown but I'm excited for the new changes. I love the TTA too. Its just so calming. I have never rode the "dreaded ride". I absolutely love your pictures. My pictures could never turn out that good, but maybe that's cause I have a lil point and shoot - but I'm happy with it.:rotfl:

Thanks! HAHA, that guy made me laugh, too. You know what, I think I took some ibprofen when I got off the ride, so that I did not get a headache. Don't ride it, lol. You are not missing out. The view is great from up there, though. I miss my little point and shoot. I lost it on my wedding trip literally in the twilight zone, lol, while I was on the Tower of Terror.

Great pics in the Rose garden. The one of the close-up on the rose with the castle in the background reminds me of Beauty and the Beast! It looks like the Beast's rose :)

Ok, on SM I don't see a hidden mickey at all! Not at all :rotfl:

aww, it does!! I love it.

On the left side you can see a rock in the shape of Mickey's profile. Once you see it you will be like, DUH! lol.

Great pictures. :thumbsup2 My favorite is the one with the rose in the foreground and the castle in the back ground. :)

Thanks! Seems to be everybody's favorite, lol.

Completely agree!!!! Toy Story 3 was just amazing!

I’m glad to hear you got AKV-concierge for your “Dream” vacation! We’ll do it one day.

Great time on the race! Your PP pictures came out great! Laughing at the pic in China though…

I’m with Tim. I don’t particularly care for the new Tomorrowland outfits for Chip & Dale. It is so funny that someone smelled a bit “off.” Love Space Mountain!! It has been so long since we have ridden the tea cups. We are looking forward to the expansion as well.

Totally agree with Wednesdays at the MK. We have always had a wonderful day there. Your pics from your day around the MK are just wonderful!

HAHA, I love that pic. Thanks! I was glad I was able to run in that heat. Thanks! We had a blast in the MK that day!

Of course, it's all rumors for now, but I have heard that whats on the dvd isn't what's going to be in WDW. I think it might be in DL but that WDW will be all new. Not sure though...just what I heard! :goodvibes

I love your PP pics girl! You guys are too cute. I can't wait to try Space finally! I don't even care if it's jerky! lol.

P.S. I saw the Backstreet Boys on Tuesday night! I was thinking of you girl! They were so good! It was amazing! They did most of their old hits and a few new ones! I was on cloud 9! Also, they each had these little clips where they were put into movies-Howie was some racing movie (Too Fast Too Furious, maybe?), AJ was the Fight Club (and made it all BSBed out...as in "The first rule of the Backstreet Boys Fan Club is you don't talk about the Backstreet Boys Fan CLub), Nick did the Matrix...and Brian did....can you guess?

Hmm...

ENCHANTED!!!! He played the prince and it was the cutest thing ever! It made my night! He's my fav, though closely followed by Nick. And Brian's son introduced them it was so cute...he's just the most adorable little boy and was like "do you guys like the Backstreet Boys? They're right behind this curtain!" haha it was just so great!!

Hope you're having a good week!

Hey Kimmy! OMG you saw them!! AHH, that is awesome!! Lucky you! I loved Nick Carter! haha! Sounds like it was a great concert.

Yeah, you have to go on Space. Like I said, sometimes it is jerky and sometimes it isn't. When I rode it in January I was fine.

Love the update! That picture of you and Tim looking at each other is SO cute. Usually, I totally agree...the looking at each other pics are really cheesy but that one turned out so well.

haha, thanks! Tim mumbles stuff under his breath when they tell us to do that.

We probably walked in to Cosmic Ray's about 11:00 so we may have still been in there!!

Loved this update, funny it is like we walked the same path after lunch. Colby saw PUSH in that same spot and my DH and I couldn't find the guy either, however on Friday we walked with PUSH over the bridge to the hub for the parade and I knew exactly where the guy was.

I love the HM pics I never get any good photos on that ride. We love Laugh Floor, we went there on Friday and DH was put up on the screen as the guy who was buying churros. Funny!

We probably walked right past each other that day and did not even realize. LOL!

haha, Tim was that guy before, lol. That's too funny!

not to hijack this thread...but there seems to be some PUSH fans here...he has his own facebook fan page... http://www.facebook.com/pages/Push-...h-the-Talking-Trashcan/107335365963176?v=info

Lori

aww, cute! Thanks!

I just stumbled across your tr and WOW!! I am HOOKED! I can't wait for another update!

hi!! Welcome!! Thanks for reading!

Lynn, I love love love your Rose Garden pics... beautiful.

I also love your pics of Splash mtn with the lake in front of it... with water on splash! Just like it should be! hahaha! I caught up.... very cute updates!!! your pictures are beautiful ;) love your black dress... where did you get it?

hi! Thanks! I bought it from Target!

I'm catching back up now! I have to say your bow is adorable. And I am so glad you got a shot of the hidden Mickey from going up the hill on Splash. It can be hard to notice, but with this picture, anyone can take the time to find it!

Hi Tinky! Thank you! I love that hidden mickey! You can see it clear as day during the day, but it is hard at night, lol.

I am echoing everyone else...great pictures! I love the one where you focused on the rose and the castle is out of focus in the background.

Thank you! You all can steal that pic if you want, lol!

Great update and I hope you're not tired of hearing this but your pictures are so beautiful. The one with the red rose and the castle in the background is my absolute fave.

HAHA, no, thank you! I love it, too!

Hey Lynn! It has been FOREVER since I have been on the boards. I can't believe it! It was so nice to see that you are still kickin it on here. I always love your trip reports. I love your Lotso pic and your Ariel and Eric pic. So super cute! Your reports always make me want to plan another Disney trip right away. This year will be the first year since 2003 that my hubby and I will not be going! So sad! We are expecting our first child in August (It's a BOY!), so it is not possible to go this year! I am living the Disney life through you though! Keep the posts coming so I can get my Disney World fix!

JESSICA!!!!! Hi!!! I was thinking about you the other day while I was on here. How are you? Aww, congrats on the baby! That is so awesome. Do you have a name picked out? You are due like any day now! AWW!

Well, I am in Pre-Calc right now and we are on Trig. This is my first time learning it, so it is all new to me. I understand most of it, but there is this one question for homework that is driving me crazy...

evaluate the trig function using its period.... sin 5pi.... I know that the period of sin and cosine is 2pi... but how do I evaluate that?

My book is lame and does not explain how to do it. Anybody have an idea? I am so lost. I have googled and went to the book stores to find something and I cannot find a thing that can help me. Of course I can find out tomorrow in class, but I want to know now, lol.

I totally agree about Space Mountain being so jerky!! We went on in May for the first time after the rehab and it seemed way jerkier than before the rehab! Of course I had expectations that the ride would be improved after the rehab so maybe it was all in my head?? I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one that finds that ride rough....I was like bracing myself through the whole thing.

I know what you mean! I felt like I was gonna be sick!

Oh man, I had to take pre-calc in junior year of H.S. and what you wrote triggered some bell in my head but I am horrible at math so I can't help any  I found this on Google: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20070910170359AAOCx4Y Idk if it will help any though.

CONTINUED....

We hopped on the monorail and headed to Epcot. Our ADR at Nine Dragons was around 5, so that was why we went over to Epcot. When we got there, the crowds were not bad. We went straight to Spaceship Earth and walked right on. Wait time said 5 mins, but there was no wait.

IMG_7934.jpg

For some reason, I took a picture of this..
IMG_7941.jpg

Maybe I spotted a hidden mickey, but I do not see one. Hmm.

I love when we get to the renaissance part..
IMG_7943.jpg

I never realized the desk says think... I like that.

IMG_7946.jpg

You have to take a picture of this lady when you go on this ride, lol.
IMG_7947.jpg

Here were our heads. Tim always has to make a face.
IMG_7954.jpg

IMG_7956.jpg

When we got off, we played some of the games that are in Spaceship Earth. This one is for like memory, hand eye coordination, and something else. It's fun to play.

IMG_7958.jpg

HAHA, I look so serious.

IMG_7965.jpg

IMG_7968.jpg

here is my, I messed up face, lol

IMG_7969.jpg

lol... Tim loves this one. lol. I had my game face on. haha!
IMG_7971.jpg

Timmy's turn... of course he beat me on everything, lol.

IMG_7974.jpg

he had a serious game face as well.
IMG_7975.jpg

Well that was fun. We decided to head over to Nine Dragons to be seated a little hungry. We were getting hungry. I snapped a picture when we got to China. For some reason, I enjoy taking pictures of the light fixtures, lol.
IMG_7979.jpg

We made it! Sorry the pic is all crooked. lol.
IMG_7980.jpg

It is really nice inside. We walked in and there were like a few diners in there. We were seated right away.

Some more lights, lol. They are neat!
IMG_7981.jpg

I had some won ton soup. I was not that hungry and if I am being honest, I am not a big fan of Chinese food. I like it, but I am not like OMG I have to have it. My soup was good though.
IMG_7984.jpg

And I also had some pot stickers.

IMG_7985.jpg

Tim had sweet and sour chicken. It was a lot.
IMG_7986.jpg

The food was really good and the service is great, but we will not be going back. I can get the same type of food up here at PF Changs. I am glad we tried it, though, but it is not a must. We have not tried Morocco, UK, Japan, or Mexico. Maybe one day we will try one of them, but for now I am sticking to the countries that I know are really good.

After dinner, we walked around the countries to head over to International Gateway, so that we could hop on the boat and head over to DHS for EMH.

We stopped in America. It's a sin, we never really do. I went into the America store, and saw all of these precious moments. How cute!

IMG_7987.jpg

Before we left the America Pavilion, we looked at some pins at the pin cart. This was up. How cute!

Continued in next post.....

Sorry, Lynn, but I am no help when it comes to math. If you ever have an English or literature question, though, I am your girl!

OOh, thank you. That link sort of helped. Thanks! I have been searching and searching.

I wish I could help. But I suck in math.

Sorry, Lynn, but I am no help when it comes to math. If you ever have an English or literature question, though, I am your girl!

It's okay, girls! Jackie, if I ever need help, I will ask you :)

:rotfl: "I have no idea why I took this picture." You crack me up! Maybe it'll come to you sometime out of the blue!

Love the faces. The future video always is entertaining.

Yum...that soup looks good! I haven't been there to eat before.

Oooh that was some fun trivia questions! I've never noticed them before when walking through.

I love SE. The upgrades with the Future videos and everything make the ride more interesting.

I'm not crazy about Chinese food either. I have to be in the mood for it. The sweet and sour chicken looks good though.

Great trip report :thumbsup2

I am heading to AKV in a week with my DD 13 and DD 15 next Sunday - can't wait. You are making me feel like I am there already

Lynn, I'm not a math wizard but I happen to know one. The answer is 0.

If you're looking at a sine curve, one arc up and then one down, the top of the arc is 1 and the bottom is -1. When it crosses the axis it's 0. Judy showed me an example online and 1pi is when it crosses the axis (0) after the first upward arc. Then, 2pi is when it crosses the axis again (0) after the downward arc. So, carry that forward and 5pi will occur when it crosses the axis again. So...0.

Yeah they are a lot of fun. I have to say, I really liked eating at Yak and Yeti in the AK. That is like Chinese, and I loved it there. It has a really cool atmosphere and I think the food is more than just plain old Chinese, if that makes sense.

Great trip report :thumbsup2

Happy to see that you spell your name the correct way ;) - the same way that I spell mine, how many times do have to tell people that it is Lynne with an "E":rotfl2:

Lynne

Hi. Aww, that is awesome!! Have a great time!

Well, my full is Lynnmarie, but I spell my name as Lynn, so I do not have the e. My nick name is Lynnie, so that is the only time I have an e in my name. You may have seen somebody call me Lynnie on here. So, I am sorry to disappoint you, but I do not spell my name as Lynne, haha.

Thank you Glenn. I get that, but I do not know how to use the period as a guide to solve that. Ugh, I am just so out of it. This is my first time in Trig.

I also have to solve these, but I have no idea how to.

*** 8pi/3

*** (-15pi/2)

sin (-9pi/4)

Umm, okay. I have no idea why the cosine abreviation got bleaped out in my last post... hmmm, well that is what is supposed to be there, Glenn.

I realized that after I wrote it but you are far too quick - didn't get a minute to edit it out:rotfl: my bad

Funny thing is that my full name is Lynne Marie (two separate words for me)
and a woman that I work with is Lynn Marie ... guess the two names just go together

HAHA! It's okay. Oh, that is too funny. Yeah, I do not have a middle name. The two names do go well together;)

It's been ages since I've done that type of math, and I have not retained any of it, so I'm no help.

I got a good chuckle out of the pictures from Spaceship Earth where it looks like part of Tim's head is cut off because the background of the images is overtaking the while color of his hat.

Hi Lynn

I followed many of your TR. I have been off the boards as well but not because of something but my mother passed away from pancreatic cancer in Oct 2009, she was only 60. It stinks not having her here with me and to see the kids but I know she's watching us.

Anyway love your TR so far. Love your pictures. I think my favorite one from the rose garden is the one where the castle was in the background of a rose but it was blurry. Very pretty. I would blow that one up and frame it for sure.

I have never eaten in China either but we go to Japan every time we go to Disney. We actually just went in April this year and had the same cook as we did 6 years ago. He thought it was cool too.

Can't wait to hear more.

Great update,Lynn!! I agree with you--we liked Nine Dragons well enough, but I am not the biggest fan of Chinese food. I'll just let my boyfriend get the CS if he's craving it!
