AKV concierge

There are only 5 two bedroom lock off units in AKV concierge level. Two are on the pool view side, and three are on the savanna view side. Unfortunately, at least one of those on the savanna view side is handicapped accessible, so if you don't like HA rooms, your chances are pretty good you might get one when booking Concierge level.

The real draw for me with concierge level at AKV is the opportunity to book the sunrise and Waynama sarafis. An added bonus is the access to the concierge lounge where food and snacks and drinks appear throughout the day, and the concierge staff to book your dinner and show ressies, etc. Another little added benefit is nightly turn down service and daily housekeeping. Although, when we stayed there in March, we only actually got the turndown service once in 5 days.

One other nice benefit is that you check in upstairs in the lounge rather than in the lobby. The lines to check in at AKL/AKV can get long and move slowly at times. Concierge guests go to Bell Services upon arrival and are taken upstairs to the Concierge Lounge to check in. You can get yourself a cold glass of lemonade, sit in one of the comfy chairs at the desk and enjoy a relaxing check-in experience. I wish I could do that at every DVC resort!
