My family will be staying in a concierge studio Mar 9 - 16. This is our first trip home and I am very excited.

I called concierge itinerary planning and requested the reservation for the sunrise safari on the Thursday March 13th. Are you planning to take the safari?

DH isn't a big morning person...lol so we've contemplated doing the Sunset Safari, but aren't sure yet. We are planning on doing a Keys to the Kingdom tour one day, but I'm waiting for the park hours to be posted so I can plan.

Thursday March 13th is the day that DS's marching band is marching before the afternoon parade in MK, so that is the only thing on the agenda thus far.

Just curious when you'll be there in March...DH & I are there March 10-14 in a concierge studio. I know there are very few concierge rooms for AKV, so if we're there at the same time it's a darn good chance we'll be neighbors.

We are there the 1-6 of March, then we move to Fort Myers for a few days and then come back to spend the 8-11 at OKW.

We are in a studio. It will just be the 2 of us for this trip, so we couldn't see splurging on the 1 bedroom.

Did anyone see the Travel Channel show about WDW in which they had a segment devoted to the Sunrise Safari? Our local cable showed it on Saturday afternoon.
Since I do all the DVC/WDW planning and Disboard participation, DH only had a vague idea of what to expect next January.
Well, for a somewhat reserved guy, he was after that!

No, I did not see it but I wish I had! I have only heard that the sunrise safari is a "must do". It is one of the reasons I booked concierge. I have no idea what to expect except for breakfast and a slow trip through the Kilimanjaro Safari. However since the regular ride is one of my childrens' favorite attractions (they love seeing the animals) at AK, I am sure we will love it.

Call AKL Concierge Itinerary planning as soon as you decide to take the safari. They will put you on the list. You will have to confirm with a credit card. They have a little more control of the list as it is only for AK Concierge guests. Official and final reservations are 180 days out.

It seems that DVCers at AKV-CL don't need to furnish a credit card for the Sunrise Safari!
