AKV concierge question

In my mind it seemed obvious that there would be more in the new section, but we all know what happens when you assume Oh well, I would be just as happy to book a Savanah View. The only reason concierge interested me was for the sunrise safari and that wasn't something that I have to do I just thought it would be neat. And I'm pretty sure that DH would rather not get up that early if he doesn't have to.

I think the only reason we have any concierge rooms at all is because AKV took over the 5th and 6th floors of the Lodge and the existing concierge lounge is on the 6th floor. They either needed to give 6th floor AKV guests access to concierge or move the lounge to a lower floor and that would take away even more AKL rooms. Plus I personally think the 6th floor rooms at AKL were not the best location for viewing the animals (I prefer lower floors and further away from the lobby) so they needed a way to make AKV's 6th floor guests feel better about their location. Making those few AKV rooms concierge is a "win" all around -- AKL doesn't have to move the lounge to another floor and AKV guests get concierge rooms for the first time, and suddenly the 6th floor villas become very desirable! It also gives Jambo House something special to make up for its smaller rooms, combined tub and shower in the master bath, lack of additional bathroom, lack of closet space, etc. as compared to Kidani Village.

I guess I should be thanking ..(insert something clever)..lol for being able to grab a concierge studio It is a weekend stay...thta might have something to do with it...more points!
Did not know about the non concierge at Kidani!! So glad I added...ASK the EXPERTS!! lol

I can see now how tough it will be to get concierge...however, for future trips...I would want to be staying in Kidani Village
