AKV concierge and BWV surprises

Just returned from our 12 night Disney trip. The first night (before a cruise) we stayed at AKV club level--for just that night. I LOVE DVC! The club level DVC rooms are the only ones on the same floor as the lounge. Our room was right by the food and drinks and the kids loved that! I would definately do it again! My son's birthday was the next morning and they delivered a gift bag to our room the evening before for him. It had a birthday button pinned to it and inside was an African toy drum and four safari vehicles. Very nice and unexpected!

I was also surprised that we had a view of the savannah. It was a bit obstructed, but we weren't expecting any.

The next morning we did the sunrise safari (available only to the club level guests.) It was a great experience and the food for breakfast was better than I anticipated.

Later in our visit we checked into BWV. The first surprise was that our room was ready at 11am! And here too, we got a pool view even though we booked standard view. Nice surprises!

Thanks for posting ... Id been wondering that was possible: one night in concierge then the rest of the week in a SV and still get the SS bc I really want to try the Sunrise Safari but can't see spending the extra points for the whole week of concierge (particularly when I really want the view)! Great idea!

Be sure to research which days they do the safari. It's not every day.

I liked club level, but would get tired of the same snacks/offerings every day. It was nice to try it out. We have a 3 night AKV stay planned in March (then moving to BLT.) I'm going to get on the waitlist for club level again, but won't be disappointed if we don't get it either. I want to check out Kidani too.

Thanks for posting. Glad you had a wonderful trip. We stayed concierge in Jambo House AKV in Jan. Also got a decent view of the safari despite being on the sixth floor and knowing that 1/2 of the views are savannah views. We had a great time and absolutely love the resort.

We'll be checking into BWV in less than a week. Crossing my fingers that all goes well. We just love being in the World on Christmas.
