AKV - club level

I'm planning our trip for next summer. We have enough points to stay 9 days club level in a studio at AKV. What are the chances I'll actually be able to book that next August? Anyone able to speak from experience? It's our home resort, so that helps some

Tough reservation to get. Absolutely must be done at the 11 month window. There are only 5 2 bedroom lockoffs on the DVC club level, so at best there are only 5 studios available to book. We are staying there for 5 nights for the first time this October. We had flexible dates, so I literally got online every morning at 8am looking for availability. it took me almost 3 weeks to secure the reservation. Since then, I've learned about "walking" the reservation. I did this to secure my parents a room on CL for a specific week next March. Basically you book nights before you want to actually arrive (but including the day you do want to arrive) and call MS to drop the first days and add on to the end of the reservation until you have the dates you want. It's a lot of work to secure a reservation. From what I hear, CL is worth it! Won't know myself until October. Guess I will decide then if it's worth the hassle of doing again. You need to make the attempt exactly 11 months out at 8 a.m. on-line for the first seven nights and then call daily and add the extra two nights. Note, there is no guarantee that will even work because there are many times when the club level rooms are not available 11 months out because other members with an arrival date shortly before yours have already grabbed all rooms for your initial nights. Also, even when open at 11 months out, club level rooms can disappear by 8:05 a.m. eastern time.
