Today we decided that we would go to the pool later in the day so thought a drive north would be good.
The roads around here were so quiet and as we got towards Melbourne you could see how the area changed from single properties to more condos. After a drive up the coast we went back to VB as we couldnt find much of interest and spent the afternoon by the pool.
This evening we fancied going out for dinner and having looked in the guide book saw that the Ocean Grill in VB was recommended so off we went. Upon arrival it looked busy. The whole place was like a beach hut but larger with loads of little rooms and areas and there was a huge group in one of the rooms, must have been about 16 people around a large table. We were soon seated and the service was good, not too fast. I started with the shrimp cocktail.
While Nathan had the stuffed mushrooms.
As Nathan had a steak for entrée he also had a salad included in the meal!
I then had the sea bass and creamed spinach.
Then we shared the meringue dessert
It was a lovely meal and the restaurant was family run and quite unique, certainly a place to remember if we come back again. Then it was time to head back to VB.
I did like the pool area all lit up at night
