Are these larger than the 2 bedrooms at BCV and BWV? We are planning to get a 2 bedroom there for August and will have 4 college students (one boy and three girls) with us. So the boy will be in the living room. I know when my girls slept in the living room at BCV it was pretty crowded. So I was wondering if when the sleeper chair is pulled out, can you still use the couch and watch TV?

I figured we would put him on that and just leave it open the whole time.

we just stayed at AKV 2bdrm and had the sleeper chair pulled out and it did not affect the couch and there was plenty of room. We had 5 adults and 4 kids (6/6/2/2) and it never felt crowded.

We've stayed in the Kidani Village 2 bedroom several times. You can leave the sleeper chair open, but it will make it harder to get to the door to the balcony from the living room area.

If you have a 2 bedroom at JH, we had to move the sleeper chair every night to open it, and it totally blocked access to the balcony when open.

Book Kidani Village and the boy can have the extra bathroom off the entrance and the girls can have the bathroom in the second bedroom. And you get the master all to yourself.

Other than value rooms which are smaller than BCV and BWV, Jambo 2BRs are about the same size as BCV and BWV. Kidani 2BRs are about 100 sq ft larger and have three bathrooms. The larger size of Kidani is very noticeable and would be the ideal choice for your group. Note also that only Kidani has dedicated 2BRs that have two queens in the second bedroom. All of Jambo's and a little more than half of Kidani's are lock-off 2BRs where the second bedroom is a studio with its own kitchenette area. Dedicated or lock-off at Kidani are guaranteed booking categories.

Nevertheless, you really cannot just leave the sleeper chair open at Kidani or Jambo, since it sits right next to the porch doors, is actually full twin size when extended, is not supposed to be moved, and weighs a ton making it difficult to move even if you wanted to.

Is there room to leave it open? Absolutely! Would I do that??? Heck no! One of the best parts of staying at AKV is spending time out on your balcony watching the animals. If you have the pull out chair open all the time, the only way to access the balcony is through the bedrooms, and that's not always convenient either. Plus, if you are in a lock off, the second bedroom balcony will be separated from the 1 bedroom portion, so no access any way except through the master bedroom.

DH and I will be at the resort a lot relaxing. But the kids will most likely only be there to sleep at night and shower. So we can just go in and out through our bedroom to get to the balcony.

And I do want the dedicated ones with 2 queen beds for the girls to have, and I also want that third bathroom for the boy to have to himself (and he will be free to leave the seat up the whole time if he wants....I don't have boys, only two girls and well.....he and I have been going through a 'training' process with the bathroom but he has gotten MUCH better.)
