AKV 2 bed standard or OKW 2 bed??

Any recommendations about wich resort might work best AKV or OKW? We are a family of 5 myself, DH, DS (5), DS (2), DS (1) and we are bringing MIL & FIL. We will need a 2 bedroom and we have stayed at OKW 2-bed and loved it. We have never even seen the AKV up close and I am not sure we would like it. I love that OKW is very close to DTD. We will have our cars if we need to drive (our children almost always get the Disney stomach bug). It would be exciting to try a new resort. My concern with AKV is that it seems far from everything. I would like to know I could make a quick escape from the Inlaws when needed. Thanks!

It all depends on what you prefer as far as sleeping accomodations. AKV's second bedroom will have a queen and a sleeper sofa, while at OKW, the second bedroom will have two full size beds. If the sleeping arrangements aren't important then try something new. AKV is a beautiful resort, and the Savanah view in my opinion is worth the points. I don't frequently stay at AKV because the decor is rather dark for my taste, I prefer the ambiance at OKW. Each resort has it's charms, I like them all but I love OKW and if you're packing in people then OKW is the roomiest.

You'll have a great time no matter what you choose!

if you drive anyway - than AKV is not a problem. (except for the MK)

it is a little further but not a big deal by cars.

love AKV rooms they are lovely to me.

now space can be a problem with the Jambo house rooms - but the new Kidani (opens this may) will be bigger have more room for stuff - and that great bathroom...

the 2-bedroom will have 3 bathrooms - plus room for 9 - with the chair bed in the livingroom.


now love OKW - but hey trying a new thing now and then won't be bad.
