AKV 1 Bedroom Standard ???'s

I will apologize for the number of questions I'm about to ask...

1) Which standards have the potential for a better view, Jambo or Kidani?
2) What makes it a better view?
3) For Christmas, which resort would be better?
4) Which resort would have more (less distance from room) access to Savanna viewing?
5) Which resort's standards (1 BR) will be closer to the pool?
6) Please give me any other information you'd like. I'm going crazy trying to decide

For standards at JH, you'll get a pool view. For standards at KV, you'll get parking lot with maybe the pool just past the parking lot.

For Christmas, I'd go with Jambo House, because of the lobby size and decorations.

Many Jambo savanna views that some considered less desireable have been recategorized as standards, previously all standards had pool views, so at Jambo a standard will be either pool view or savanna view. We had a 1BR standard and were assigned 5544, it had a wonderful savanna view IMO, but did have a corral straight down so the savanna was out a bit from the balcony.

Any time of year I prefer the amenties at Jambo, so prefer to stay there rather than Kidani. But many prefer the extra bathroom and more low key atmosphere at Kidani.

Keep in mind that jamobo has a bigger lobby because its the busier of the two. What could is a bigger lobby when it will be wall to wall people? Do you want more christmas decorations and really busy lobby or less christmas decorations but a more relaxing atmosphere?

IF you ask for a room at kidani closer to the pool its just right across the walk. A standard view room at kidani is not as bad as people think. I just came back from a standard view room and while you saw the bus stop you also saw the pool to the right, the barbeque and tennis courts straight ahead and mainly trees and grass after that.

Jambos and kidanis rooms are about the same distance to savanah viewing since both sections have windows to the savanahs in between each section of rooms.

While i wish kidani had quick service, my wife and I did not mind walking or taking the bus to kidani for quick service. Keep in mind other resorts like Saratoga springs you would have to take a bus or walk to quick service if your room is at a certain point.

Also a very very important thing you have to keep in mind. The busses for the parks stop at kidani first. We stayed last week and it was not a busy time and there were 2 times where the bus was full at kidani before it even went to jambo house. It takes 20 min to get to each park except animal kingdom .So if you stay at jambo ,especially at christmas, there could be a big probability of standing 20 minutes to the park.
