Which should I do? Both? I'm planning on doing the Sunset Safari, but then I heard about the Backstage Tour. I will be solo. Does the Backstage Tour offer stuff the Sunset Safari doesn't?

Are you staying on the Concierge Level at the AKL? If so then you will be eligible to take the Sunset Safari which is on the savannas at the lodge followed by dinner at Jiko. My husband and I have done this tour and it is outstanding. When we took it in Jan of 2004 it was $150 per person.

The Backstage Safari that is offered at the AK park can be booked by calling 1-407-WDW- TOUR. We have not taken this tour but I have read positive reviews about it.

I took the Backstage Safari tour with my 2 DD's on Dec 27th and we all loved it. It was the highlight of our week. I think it would be a good tour to do as a solo person. If you love animals and the AK it is definitely worth it. I appreciate AK so much more now and it is wonderful to see how well the animals are taken care of. We got to touch a rhino and saw a tiger being operated on. During our break a CM brought in an owl and she was a very good speaker. We also got on the safari without having to wait in line and instead of the usual commentary about poachers, the guide told us about the animals we saw and how they keep them in certain areas. I highly recommend this tour.
