I made a reservation at AKL for 3 nights for my son and myself.

$415 for lodging.

I was told by Disney Agent that I could get 4-day Park Hopper tickets for $387.66. We won't be going to the Waterparks. So, the ultimate Park Hopper may not be a good deal for us. She also said we can go to all 4 parks anytimes we want and there is no limit.

How does this sound? Can I do better? Thanks.

Sounds good to me. Is the price for a standard room? And, when are you going?

Standard room - Parking lot view.

Going August 25th.

How are the restaurants? I can eat anything that is not moving but my son is picky. Do they have restaurants that serves kiddy stuff like Mac&Cheese, Spaghetti, Pizza, Ice Cream, Rice, etc?

Boma's is buffet dining, and a great place to eat. The food is something very different, desserts to die for. They have kid's food too.

Mara's is their foodcourt with all kinds of american food kids like.

Jiko's I can't say, having never eaten their.

Jiko's is a fantastic restarant. We had dinner there once and really enjoyed it. We plan on going back to Jiko's in December. Its an expensive restarant but worth every penny:).

Also that is a great rate for a standard.

Have a great trip.

Take a look at the menus for WDW restaurants on allearsnet.com. Many of the full service and buffet restaurants have a separate child's menu.

When are you going? The Sept. code for the general public makes the rate at the AKL $119 a night plus taxes for a standard view room which I think would be a little less than what you are paying.

The UPH tickets are best if you are able to use them for all 4 days - which means going to the parks on the day of your arrival and spending time at the parks the day you depart. Or perhaps you can buy a 3 day UPH - I think sometimes they will sell you one for a day shorter than your hotel stay.

Have a great trip!

I think you have a very good deal - I've paid similar rates for stay's at moderates.

Even though you indicated that your child was a picky eater. He'll have no problems finding food at the fast service restaurant (Mara) - burgers, fries, etc. Even at Boma (the buffet) there was a section of mac and cheese; plain pasta and PB&J sandwiches.

As for the park passes - I don't think they ever really go on sale. If they do, I've never heard of it. The price you have seems right to me for 4 day park hoppers (regular) for an adult and a child.

Hope you enjoy AKL!
