This is our 4th trip to disney but this time we are staying at the AKL with a 5 yr and 2 yr old. We are staying there the week of Christmas and a little nervous about crowds even though i heard the week between Christmas and New Year's is worse. Has anyone stayed there at christmas? I know it will be busy but does anyone have any advice for traveling to Disney at christmas time. We are also worried about bus service at the animal kingdom. You are all making me so excited to see the hotel for the first time. I think I am driving my husband crazy.

The bus service is the greatest. We never had to wait more than ten minutes for a bus, and usually less time than that. Your kids are gonna love the animals and the pool. Christmas is so beautiful. Even though it's very busy then, there is so much to look at and it's so magical that you WILL have a great time.

Sure wish I had known that before i spent so many hours online just looking for a rental service who has a car left and did not charge a fortune. I think the kids will love it too. Thanks.

Is there a way you can cancel that rental car? Bus service at AKL is the best we ever had at any resort. I was shocked at how great it is. They don't share busses with any other resort so you go straight through. There are a few stops at one of the water parks {I can't remember which one} That may not happen Christmas week though. Your whole family will love this resort. We are going to go back next year around the holidays just so we can see how they decorate this wonderful hotel. Have a terrific trip!
