We just booked AKL Savannah View and requested Zebra trail based on your good advice. Anything else we should know or ask for?

If you have children or cannot walk very long, make sure to request close to the lobby!! The walk to the "outer" rooms can be quite long.

ask for a lower floor to best see the animals - we were in 4511, and although the animals came right underneath our balcony there were some animals hidden by the trees. (But we did love our room, and we were right near the elevators and the lobby

Look carefully in the trees for the giraffe
