AKL, when and where to see.......

the animals going back to their enclosures? Someone posted a while back where to see this from the lodge and what time they usually get them off the savannah for the afternoon. Any info would be appreciated Thanks......

The animals are free to roam the savannah all day or night if they wish. There is an enclosure that they can go into if they want. Some do, some don't. The animals are more active in the early mornings and late afternoon. When the sun is out and it's hot, they (like everyone else) look for shaded areas. Sometimes they're napping. Try to get up early and sit on the balcony and watch them--fascinating.

Not a problem!

easy to find - I remembered I had posted in that (cause I thought the whole "animal parade" was kinda cool)...so I just did a search based on my name and AKL...really - when the search function is working - it makes using these boards and finding info so much easier!

using the word "animal" (clueless what else to use) in the Tip board, 12 threads, not there, on the resort thread 350+ threads........I am so thankful you posted to that thread and were here today to read my thread.....We will be at AKL in May and wanted to check that out. Many thanks.....

The animals are rotated...they're taken in for "check-ups" and supplemental food in the middle of the day. We found 5-6pm to be an IDEAL viewing time!

Not a problem!!!

ENJOY your stay at the AKL! heck...it's kind of hard NOT to enjoy it!

If you have a digital camera, and happen to see this "animal parade"...take pictures and post them for us - ok?
