AKL - what would you do?

I've been chronicling my saga here on the resort board. For those of you who have been patient enough to keep track so far, another wrench has been thrown in my plan for my DH and DS's b-day trip...

Our plan was to be at AKL concierge Sat and Sun nights and check-in to BWV on Monday. However, Member Services just called and said our waitlist for a standard view at BW came through. This means we now have enough points to only pay cash one night at AKL concierge. I am torn b/c I know DH will love the Sunrise Safari and just AKL in general. I just don't know if one night is long enough to take it all in.

So, I called AirTran Airways and they were nice enough to waive our change fees if I switch our flight from Saturday to Friday.

I guess my question is do you really think the extra night at AKL is worth it? I will be spending about $500 more on this trip than originally anticipated. It is going to be hard, but I can swing it. I just keep telling myself DH will only be 40 once!

I would really appreciate your opinions on this. I am going to try to call Airtran this afternoon, if I am going to switch!

I say go for the extra night at AKL if you can swing it especially since it's for a Bday!
