AKL vs. CR ? Having trouble choosing

My family has stayed at both and we enjoy both. We are going up to WDW for a weekend at the end of April and will be there for 2 nights. The price difference is aroun$60. Transportation is usually the determining factor but since we will only be there 2 nights.......? Any thoughts?

I dont think you can go wrong with either resort. We recently stayed at AKL and not only were we impressed with the rooms but also the night time activities. It really made us want to return and have a resort day.

I think AKL is a much more enjoyable resort in and of itself, and transportation is fine with the buses. However, with only 2 days, I'd be tempted to stay at CR, because of how convenient it is to the MK (and to Epcot, too) with the monorail right there.

I guess it depends on what you want to do during your 2 days. CR is closer to MK, AKL to AK.

We are planning our 2nd trip to CR. We love that resort! We like being close to MK & having a large variety of resturants to choose from which are EASILY accessable.

If you have younger kids and are planning to spend much time at MK, I'd definitely go to CR and use that monorail!

I would say it depends on what you will be doing during those 2-3 days, and also the ages of the children going, if any. We stayed at AKL last November but have 2 babies and thought the buses were inconvenient with a double stroller and 2 babies. So we are staying at CR in May to utilize the monorail. I guess if your family will be spending most time at MK, then choose CR. If your family is planning to have resort time, then definitely AKL.

A hard choice. Which parks will you be visiting? If you're there onlyt wo days, then stick with the Contemporary. Not only is being on the monorail line a relief, but the eating options are much better. AKL's biggest flaw is its isolation. If you go back to AKL in the afternoon or night, it's much harder to leave.
