AKL vs CBR - help!

AKL, as most have said, is a destination, CBR is a cool place to sleep. Even though AKL is farther, there are less bus stops. One at Jambo and another at kidani. CBR has seven stops so depending on where your room is at the resort, you will have multiple stops before leaving for the park or when returning. The distance is less (except to AK) but the travel time may be more with CBR. AKL for sure.

AKL without a doubt. CBR is probably our least favorite resort we have stayed at on property. We just got back from AKL two weeks ago, and while I do agree with some PPs in that the walks can be long, it was nothing compared to some of the walks at CBR. Our room was at the end of a long corridor at AKL, but it was inside hallways and the walk to the bus stop was also covered. The room was larger so if you brought an air mattress for one of the kids to sleep on, you'd have plenty of room for that. We found the Mara to be just as sufficient as Old Port Royale at CBR, even though it was smaller with fewer options. We also liked the pool better at AKL. And bus service was far superior at AKL.

AKL for sure. I have never stayed at CBR but have visited, and AKL beats any moderate hands down. Since we have discovered renting DVC points I don't think we will ever stay moderate again.

Same rate? AKL hands down. Where can you stay at a hotel surrounded by exotic animals ... in the US? Beautiful pool area, lots of viewing spots, good restaurants .... it is so unique that I would jump at staying there. It wouldn't even be a split second decision for us.
