AKL Villas - 1 bedroom???

Does anyone know if they have 1 bedroom villas available for the AKL yet? If not, does anyone know when they will be available? I'm pretty interested in seeing what they look like and possibly interested in getting it.

If you don't mind me asking for more advice about my honeymoon......would you rather have a room in the Kilamanjaro Club or a 1 bedroom villa. I know these choices are like night and day but I thought I would ask. Thanks alot

You can have both ... Kilamanjaro Club and a 1-bedroom villa .... we just got back and went to SSR and saw the model units there. Right now they told us that there are one bedrooms in the lodge but that instead of having the two bathrooms that there will only be one bathroom. The conversion of the rooms didn't allow for a change in plumbing so the ones with two bathrooms (1 bedrooms) will be in Kidani Village.

And, by the way, we were very impressed with the layout and the furnishings in the new rooms (at least from the models). They are definitely very nice.

I booked a 1-BR AKV for Jan 4-7, 2008. If you go to online booking, you can see that AKV doesn't show up for 2007, but if you change your dates to 2008 it pops up. These are the renovated villas in the main lodge (Jambo), not the new Kidani Village, which won't be finished for quite a while. There are photos online at Disney's website under the resort section.
