akl view ?

Would it be worth it to pay an extra $40 for a savanah view versus a pool view? My husband and I are taking our 14 month old and plan to spend a lot of time in our room out on the balcony during her naps... Thanks in advance!

Since you plan on a lot of balcony time, I say go with the savannah view. And to tempt you, I offer the following photos (I should note that my room had a view of both the savannah and the back of the swimming pool area -- the best of both worlds):

Our DD will be 18 months old when we do hit AKL....we chose to book the savannah view because when we went to AK in May our DD was so enamoured by the animals I know she will be captivated by them at the resort. We too are looking for some downtime before we head out on our cruise and I thought this would be perfect.....I say GO FOR IT!

Yes I would say go for it too. We did. The savannah is what it is all about.

Would it be worth it depends on your vacation budget for this trip.

If upgrading to a savanna view room is going to cause you to exceed your budget and cause you to worry about the amount of money you are spending per night on the room or cause you to be in the mind set of trying to justify your extra expense on the roon then I would say, no it is not worth it to upgrade.

We have stayed in pool view rooms twice and in deluxe savanna view concierge rooms twice and have enjoyed all of our stays.

So if your vacation budget for this trip allows you to upgrade to a savanna view without causing you extra worry then, yes by all means upgrade.

Because of the extra time you will spend in your room, by all means upgrade to reg. savannah view. I think your baby will also enjoy looking at the animals from the balcony!

When my mother and I went to AKL, the first time I was ever there, we had a hard time leaving our room for the parks due to the fact we didn't want to leave our balcony at all! Such a relaxing way to wake up, though, having coffee and leisurely talks out over OUR savannah!

I agree that if you are planning to spend a lot of time in your room, go for the savannah view! We had one last time but did not spend nearly enough time at the resort to enjoy it. I have booked a standard view for this trip. We are planning to spend more time at the resort - swimming, exploring, story time, etc. but not necessarily in our room - but of course hoping for an upgrade!
