Hi

We are planning to stay at one of these hotels which one of them would you recommend?

Thanks

Hi

I can't comment on the Swan/Dolphin - we have only looked around the resort and dined at Blue Zoo, but it looks nice to me.

The AKL is beautifully themed with a wonderful swimming pool, but I am not a huge fan of the rooms. Transportation can also be a bit of an issue due to the AKL's location - but this won't matter if you will have a car.

Swan/Dolphin have the "heavenly" beds and I have read rave reviews about the incredible comfort of them. The rooms look nicer than at AKL in my opinion, and there is a huge themed grotto pool. You are also very close (5 minute walk) to the Boardwalk. The Fantasia Mini Golf is right across the street as well.

Remember that the Swan/Dolphin are not official Disney resorts. You still get to use EMH (I think), but things like the room-charge card privileges are only available at WDW hotels.

Why not check out the AKL Information Thread or the Swan/Dolphin FAQ to find out more about the resorts?

If you have any questions about AKL, I would be happy to help. :wizard:

We stayed in the WDW Dolphin in 2003! Absolutely FANTASTIC! Can't praise it highly enough! The hotel is beautiful ( in my opinion hugely superior to the Swan) Pool is amazing, best breakfast choice I have ever seen anywhere, service without fault, rooms brilliant, with the most comfortable beds (Heavenly Beds were definitely the right description!) I have ever slept on. (However this could have been because whenever I crawled into mine I was fit to drop, I would probably have slept on a bed on nails with no problem!)

I would say it is pricey though and we didn't really feel that we had our full use of it (we only swam in the pool once and spent on average about 1/2 hour each day in the hotel) There was also a HUGE number of conference guests, sometimes so may it was difficult to get a table at breakfast, or to get served at the bar, and we did feel that they seemed to take precedence over families like ourselves.

All in all though, the best hotel I have ever stayed in! :earboy2:
