AKL upgrade to Concierge - $226/night

I had a standard room booked at AKL for I around $125/night. At check-in I asked how much it would be to upgrade to concierge. I was hoping for something akin to WL (~ $50/night). I was even willing to pay $100 per night.

NOPE...

They wanted $226 per night to upgrade. Ouch. No concierge.

Same happen to us at AKL in March. Except they want 350.00 more night BIG OUCH! No concierge for us either. We got a 50.00 upgrade a night at WL in May 2003. Which was well worth it.
