AKL - upgrade question?

I am kind of embarrassed to ask this question…but…has anyone been upgraded (at no extra cost) from pool view to concierge?

We are going in July and have a pool view and just wanted to know if this was even a possibility.

You might be upgraded to Savannah view but I doubt you will be upgraded to Concierge. I have been upgraded both times I have stayed there, both times have been from Savannah view to Deluxe Savannah view.

Stupid question, what is the difference between a Savannah view and a deluxe Savannah view?

I am trying to get all the info I can for our next trip, haven't even left for our first one yet, LOL!!! DS wants to stay at the AKL our next time and wants a Savannah view, he loves animals and wants to own his own zoo. He thinks it's really cool that it's called "Savannah" since that is his sister's name. LOL!!!

Figured we would be going back in about 2 years so that gives me plenty of time to get alot of info.

The deluxe savannah view rooms are slightly larger than the savannah view rooms, and I believe they are all located on floors five and six.

As others have stated, it is highly unlikely that you would be upgraded to a concierge room at no cost. However, many people have reported being upgraded from a standard view or pool view room to a savannah view at check in.
