AKL to the Parks?

Any problems with getting to the Parks from Animal Kingdom Lodge (long waits, crowds)?

Can you walk to the Animal Kingdom?

How about getting to MK, Epcot, MGM?

We only had a problem one morning getting a bus, but only because it was 30 minutes late...and of course, it was the morning we had an early breakfast at Cinderella's Royal Table. Luckily concierge was able to notify them of the problem and we got right in when we got there, but we were late and just a little stressed!!! LOL.

Other than that one time, I found the transportation fine. DTD is a hike, but the other parks aren't terrible to get to, especially since it's a dedicated bus for AKL and makes no other stops.

As for walking to the AK, I don't think so, but then we never really tried it. Someone else may be able to answer this definitively for you.

You really can't walk from AKL to Animal Kingdom. It is probably only about a mile, but I don't recall seeing any sidewalks. I certainly wouldn't want to walk it!

As for the buses, I was just there and the bus service was excellent. I never waited more than 10 -15 minutes for a bus and I always had a seat. The only times I saw people standing were when I was leaving a park near closing time.

We had excellent transportation from AKL during our Feb. stay. Buses came usually within 5 - 10 minutes and were never full with the exception of closing time at MK on a Sat. night. We liked that there were no other stops.

And no there is no path to walk to AK.
