We are staying at ALK without a car. If I wanted to go to the Wal-Mart on the SR535 would I be better booking a taxi in advance or asking them to get me one at the front desk. Also what happens at Wal-Mart - do I arrange for the same driver to come and collect us or can I get another taxi from Wal-Mart.

Sorry if this is a daft question but I am in Ireland and not familiar with US taxi's :drive:

Do you have to go to that particular Walmart? If not, you might be closer to the new one on Hwy 27. You leave AKL, take a right on Sherbeth Rd, take a right on hwy 192. Take a right on Hwy 27 and it's right there.

As far as the taxi, I'm sure the front desk can arrange for one. I'm not sure about the trip back as I've never been in a taxi before. I think you just call for one? Ask the driver; he or she can tell you for sure.

If that's the case I might be better going to the Super Target on the 192 but I still need the taxi info

To save on cost to the Walmart on SR535 ~ I would take the Disney transportation to Downtown Disney and call a cab from there. It should only be about 7-8 minutes. On the return you could do the same or if you have purchased lots (like me!) then you may want to have the same driver pick you up and take you directly to the AKL. I have done it both ways. The only thing about scheduling the same driver to come back is that you have to be done when he is there. Depending on the driver they will give you a number to call and let him know when you are done.
Have Fun!

That sounds like a good idea but how do I call a cab from DTD? would there be a list of numbers somewhere and a pay phone?

Sorry for all the questions but I'm not from the USA so don't know the system

Thanks
