AKL to MK

For those of you who have stayed at the AKL, what's the best way to get from AKL to MK for park opening: the bus, or drive your own car?

Bus!!! We had great service when we took the bus from AKL to MK. It is direct service. We had a car and found the bus service to be much better when going to MK!!

the bus. It drops you off right at the park, no need to deal with the monorail or ferry. When we stayed there, only once did we have to wait for a bus. There always seemed to be a bus at the park when we were leaving and we never had to wait. In the mornings, there seemed to be more MK buses than other parks, so we only really had to wait once, and that was probably for about 10 minutes. But it more than makes up for it, by taking you right to the park entrance.

and bus is the way to go. Got a bus right away, 10 minute ride to be dropped off right at the gates. No ferry or monorail AND no waiting until they let them start loading...........you could have been on a few rides already If you leave at closing, there can be a wait but that is the same with any of the resorts.

We tend to drive to the other parks just because that is easier for us.......

Really, they have you park somewhere close to the Georgia border I think, then you have the tram to the TTC then the boat or monorail on to MK finally. Plus you're in with all the off-siters (remember: friends don't let friends stay off-site). Best simply ot grab one of the frequent and convenient buses at AKL's front entrance, and be whisked off to the park entrance at MK. I have alwyas found AKL bus service to be excellent, and generally uncrowded (plus no need to rub shoulders with those off-siters ).

Thanks all! It's unanimous -- the bus to MK wins! I think we'll drive to the other parks, but thought that the bus might be the way to go to the MK. After all, Georgia IS a bit of a drive....

Are the buses quicker for epcot and mgm too? We thought we would for sure use the bus for AK and MK, but wonder about the other two.

ANy thoughts?

Sorry to break the trend, but we had a car there last week and I wouldn't trade it. The trams in the parking lots drop you just as close as the buses. I just like the convenience of having my own transportation. JMHO!
