AKL to California Grill

My friend and I are staying at AKL and going over to CG on 12/10. We have a rental car of which I am the driver. I plan on drinking some wine at CG. I do not drink to get drunk, but I do plan on having the appropriate wine for all three courses; potentially 3 glasses of wine. Naturally, I am concerned about driving inebriated. I thought about us taking the bus to MK and walking over to the Contemporary; then reverse to get back. Is this reasonable, feasible and easily done?

we did the bus to MK and then mono over to the contemporary.....but either way is feasible

the only thing you want to watch is when you plan on leaving CG...and whether MK is still running buses so you can get back to AKL

that happened to us and we just cabbed it, but the other option is a bus to downtown disney and then transfer to AKL

Hi there! I have been in the exact situation. I would really, really recommend taking a cab to and from the restaurant. We had some bad luck and waited something like 35 min. for a bus to MK on the evening of our CG dinner. I had allowed the recommended 1 hour PLUS! We took the PACKED bus to MK and then got on the monorail to the Contemporary and the monorail took one of it's "breaks" in between the MK and CR. I was a nervous wreck (i get very agitated when I am running late...) Anyway, we did finally make it and were only 7 min. late for our PS but a cab would've been maybe $10-15 and would've been much better, IMO. I would also say maybe take a cab there and then after dinner take the nice walk back to MK and then take a bus to AKL, assuming, as Stiff mentioned, it is not too late at night. Good luck and Enjoy!
