ADR at 840pm from akl to Cape May,
ADR at 950 pm from akl to Ohanas

what happens if park closes by the time we are done eating so late? Getting there wont be too much of a problem... but if we arent done till 1130 ... and park closes at 10. How on earth do we get home? Lots of time needed to get to point A to point B. :confused3 Thats alot of the reason we never try to eat at other resorts from AKL... the transportation issues. Also, does anyone know the ORDER the monorails stop at the Resorts from Magic Kingdom or Epcot ? Or even the boats ? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. :worship: Trying to avoid grumpiness and complaining from the "kids". :goodvibes

If all parks are closed when you are done with the ADR (and even all post park-closing transportation has ended for the night), you can always catch a cab from whatever resort at which you dined, back to AKL.

MK is often open pretty late. I'd check on their hours for the night before assuming they'd be closed before your Ohana ADR ended. Also, if your ADR is at 8:50 PM, there's no way you'd still be in Ohana at 11:30. It is a lengthy meal, but it's not going to take you nearly 3 hours. Same with Cape May.

The order of stops on the resort monorail is: MK, Contemporary, TTC, Poly, GF, back to MK. It goes clockwise. The boats from MK to Poly just go between MK, GF and Poly. These are often quicker than the monorail.

I can't remember the exact order of stops for the boats between EPCOT and DHS, but they are something like EPCOT, BW, BC/YC, Swan/Dolphin, DHS and reverse that on the return trip. The stops I'm not sure of are BW and BC/YC. They could possibly be reverse of what I said.

Keep in mind that the Poly is literally next door to the TTC, in case there is some form of transportation available at the TTC (due to special circumstances) that isn't available at the Poly. There's no need to ride the monorail all the way around between the two at the end of the night.

If you are done eating after all of the parks close, then take the bus to Downtown Disney, then from Downtown Disney to your resort. The buses run to and from DTD until 2 a.m.

This info helps ! Yeah, i hate to have such a late ressie... thats all that was left. :confused3 I guess these poor servers are used to staying later,. since they take ressies at the last minute before the restaurant closes. I just hope there is still food left by the time our ressie comes around !:lmao:;)

GRIMLEY 1968 ..... OMG! I LOVE "your" picture. It is most lovely..." I must say". It cracked me up.... that is the EXACT face i make on the rides! Honestly, i smile and grimace at the same time! lol!

The good thing about both those restaurants is that they are all-you-care-to-eat, so if you are starving because it's been so long since lunch, you'll be able to satisfy your hunger fully. Ohana is definitely one place you want to arrive hungry. They won't run out of food. ;)

Also, regarding DtD, those buses tend to be few and far between, and then you'd have to repeat that long wait at DtD for an AKL bus. If you're wanting to avoid grumpy kids, I'd spring for a cab from your ADR resort to AKL. It'll be much, much faster (this is assuming all park transportation has ceased). Yes, it costs some money, but sometimes it's worth it to cut probably at least an hour of travel time versus busing to DtD.

Editing to add: thanks for noticing ole Ed in my avatar. I try to be original (though I'm ripping off Martin Short). ;)

If there is any park open, head there, then transfer to the AKL bus. But I highly doubt that you'll still be eating at 11:30!!! I have never, ever spent 3 hrs in any WDW restaurant. At 'Ohana, they will be practically pushing you out the door after being there for 90 mins. Same thing with Cape May.
The buses run from the parks for at least an hour after closing. The issue with Cape May will be that you won't be allowed into Epcot after the park is closed. And DHS usually closes earlier than Epcot, so not sure if those buses will be running by 10:30ish.

So, at MK, the monorail goes....MK, CR, TTC, Polynesian, GF, MK..that's the Resort Line. The Express runs between just MK and TTC. The Epcot line runs from the TTC to Epcot and back again. You would need to transfer off the Resort line and onto the Epcot line.

Boats...at Epcot....Epcot, BW, YC/BC, S/D, DHS. From DHS back to Epcot...S/D, YC/BC, BW, Epcot.
A cab may be your best bet.

Will you have a car? If so drive. I'd spring for a taxi rather then waste would could be 2 hours taking a bus to and from DTD, unless I want to go to DTD.
