We are currently booking our trip for the end of Oct. Our origianle plan was to stay 2 nights at AKL/SV, then switch over to BWV for the next 6 nights. After reading some of the other comments I am starting to second guess our plan. I was able to get a SV studio today and the MS said that there should not be any problems getting another one tommorow. Should I go ahead and go for the SV or should we switch all our stay over to the BWV. We have never stayed at AKL, and we would love to wake up to seeing the animals in the A.M. I guess what I want to know is, are the rooms worth it? Do you have a good veiw of the savana? Should I try to get into certine SV rooms. Please help us out. And for the record it will be my DW, DD, DS, and myself. Thanks for the help.

We stayed at AKL lodge for 1 night at the beginning of Feb and I loved it, But I'm not sure I would swtich resorts again for only 1 night as I think we missed some of the activites. I would probably for 2 nights if I wanted to check out a resort, I think some people love moving resorts to see a different one and some people hate it.

I have also heard some Savannha views are better than others, we didnt really spend much time in the room so I don't really know.

AKL is nice, but end of October is Food and Wine, so if you enjoy that and are planning on spending time at EPCOT, I would opt for Boardwalk for the whole stay.

Your plan sounds great to me. Two nights in savana view and then the rest at BWV would be great (I own at both. AKL was our favorite resort before buying DVC.)

Ask for a room on the Arusha savanna. You may not get it, but that's the most scenic.

Keep in mind if you get a savannah view room you could be looking at animals and a lot of construction depending on where your room is. I stayed there the first week of march and requested not to face the construction and I was looking right at it. So I'm going to stay there again this year and next but not do the savannah view rooms until all construction is complete.

Well we got all of the ressies we wanted. This is how it looks ......:) We are staying 2 nights at AKL w/SV(Oct.25 & 26) Then it is over to our Fav. resort:goodvibes BWV for the next 6 nights(Oct.27-Nov.1) WhooHooo:thumbsup2 We can't wait. Now will be the fun part of getting our ADR's for the whole stay. We are usually right on top of this. SO hopefully we won't have any problems. Who else will be going around this time? If you are a repeat guest for this week, how are the crowds. The UFG say's they are the lowest up until the weeks following Turkey day. If there are others going Maybe we can meet up at the BW for a cocktail one night. We would love to meet other diser's. Wish us luck on our ADR's. Thanks.
