AKL Studios ( Info wanted :) )

We are changing tactics to a regular studio after a bit of thought into this... I called DVC to check and they do have both Savannah and regular studios available.. (LOL I needed to make certain there was a chance to get the rooms before I discussed with my brother!)

So any advice as to location to request (Yes I know it's a request ) and whatnot would be greatly appreciated! I know there aren't studios next to each other but do you know if there's a chance of getting studios relatively close to each other? They are booked under my hubby's and my DVC points so would I be safe to assume they'd do their best to put us relatively close together?

AKL Newbie here I've been pondering on various options to fill in on some extra days on my vacation -- Original plans once extra days were added onto vacation were to stay at POP Century but I got to thinking about AKL and perhaps the Value Studio... I'd need 2 of them... any thoughts of these rooms... experiences positive or negative? Does anybody have recommendations on any specific area to request if I do book? Does the new Kidani Village have Value Studios? And yes there are studios available! I received confirmation

For a backgrounder each room will have 2 adults and one with 2 kids and one with 1 kid... will the value studios be too tight? Kids ages are 13, 12, 7... don't know yet which kids will be in which room yet.

If this current plan goes through we will on our first ever DVC vacation stay at 3 different places LOL -- Yes I know it's crazy but hey why not have excitement in life ...we even considered staying off site but I think I'd rather stay on site even if we spend a day off at Cape Canaveral.

positive: they are cheap - i lucked into a savanna view when i stayed in one.
negative: they are very cramped - i wouldn't try to fit more than 2 adults in one. two adults and two kids would be uncomfortable IMO.

there are only a handful of value studios and most everyone will request the savanna view values. you might also wind up with a pool view or parking lot view. the view cannot be guaranteed.

Does the new Kidani Village have Value Studios?

no. concierge and value rooms are only at jambo house.

here's a map of jambo house. any of the savanna view studios should have opportunities to see animals but the arusha savanna is obviously the largest one at jambo.

not sure about kidani. sorry.
